Thank you for praying for us concerning Rob’s mom.  The hardest part of her situation is not knowing what to do.  Rob decided to work on her house to make it possible for us to move in with her, so for now at least that is what we are going to do, and it is good to have made a decision.

Even now we are going over every day and making sure she eats healthy food, so she can build her strength up.  Her arthritis is very bad, so she needs a lot of help.  Unfortunately, I cannot spend much time in her house because of my allergy to ammonia.  This weekend I had to eat my dinner outside while all my family ate inside with Rob’s mom, because my lungs were hurting from the ammonia in the house.  So, that is why we aren’t just moving right in without preparation.

We are also slowly getting her to various doctors who may be able to help her.  She will have better insurance next year, and we hope she will be able to have some surgeries, to make the quality of her life much better, Lord willing.

We were encouraged this week when we realized that she is reading a book we gave her for her birthday–it is by a friend of ours and is about Jesus!  Please pray for her salvation–this is the most important request we can make of you.

All of us are sad not to be able to go to my parents’ for Christmas, so we are going to try to get there in January.  Please pray that we will get to make this trip!  We so miss my family.  A year is a long time to be apart.

  • Wow Cassie. I will be in prayer for all of you. God will bless this sacrifice and service to family. Are you guys putting your house on the market? How are things going with the Baker House? Guess it is a stand still for now. Thanks for sharing so I know what is going on with y’all and able to specifically pray!
    Love you :)
