Sweet Like Honey

our family's journal of God at work

Out of the mouths of babes

Rob was away on a work trip last week.  He was supposed to get back Friday night, but, due to airline problems, wasn’t able to get back until lunchtime on Saturday.  After he had lunch, he went outside and did some work here, we had family worship and then he went to the house he is remodeling and worked until late.

He left and I started crying, because I missed him, and hadn’t had much time with him yet, since his trip.  Sarah said, “Mommy, Daddy has to get the work done.”  “You’re right, Sarah.”  (Sniff, sniff.)  Later when I put Sarah to bed she started crying, “Daddy, Daddy.”  So I told her, “I know you miss Daddy, Sarah, but he has to get the work done.  Remember, like you told me earlier?”  “Yes.”  (Sniff, sniff.)

Please pray for Rob.  He has so much to do, between work and the house.  We’ve got to get it finished and sold as soon as possible.  I am thankful for his commitment to family worship (God is using it to hold us together during this crazy time.  It is just extra hard when he also has to travel.  When he got the job he was told he would not have to travel, but he has to go away again next week for the whole week.  We are trying to be joyful and content).
