Gluten Free Baking, Flowers and Miscarriage

gluten-free-breads-09.jpggluten-free-breads-08.jpg     I was doing some baking this morning when my friend Lilly came by with flowers.  I had a miscarriage this week, so she wanted to cheer me up.  These flowers have brightened up my kitchen and I thought it would be fun to take pictures of my muffins and bread with the flowers.  So here they are!

These are all gluten free and my family says they are yummy.  My bread is egg-free so it doesn’t rise as high as I would like it to.  With eggs this bread would rise double this amount.  You will find the recipes in the Gluten Free Recipes pages.

  1. Oh Cassie I am so sorry to hear this again. You are such an example to me in this area and others. Your trust and perseverance is refreshing. I can tell you if I were in your shoes I would be, sinfully, “DONE”. Thank you for sharing this news that you could have kept to yourself. Thank you for being a light. May I persevere in ALL areas of life and never give up or doubt God! 🙂
    I love you

  2. PS: the bread looks yummy andEGG free would be great. Will look into it more! 🙂

  3. I stumbled across your site while looking for a gf, vegan bread recipe. I read this and I can’t help but tell you that I’m sorry for your loss. Your muffins and bread both look delicious.

  4. What a neat web page. I just miscarried over the weekend. I was recently diagnosed with thyroid disease and was wondering if gluten could be a factor, and that’s how I came upon your website. I am sorry for the loss of your baby in February. Hope you are doing well now.
