We received a package of tapioca starch the other day. The company that sent it packed it with foam peanuts. There was a hole in the box made bigger by curious fingers, and foam bits came out onto the floor. I asked the children to vacuum them up. They eagerly got the vacuum out and I went back to doing what I had been doing. After a while I realized they hadn’t finished and looked up to find them vacuuming the foam out of the hole in the box–they thought they would get them all out that way so that when we opened it foam wouldn’t end up all over the floor.
We were having our prayer time tonight. It was Laura’s turn. She prayed for a few seconds and then stopped. Rob asked her if she was going to finish. She said, “Yes.” “Amen.”
