Tools revisited

Typically, when admirers view a finished carving they do not consider the tools the craftsman used to produce his work of art.  They think only of his skill.  But the craftsman knows exactly what tool he used to shape each part.

So we should not expect recognition when God uses us.  Our greatest joy should be that God is glorified.

But God sees.  He remembers those who fear, love and obey Him.  He is coming and His reward is with Him.  I think that when we see Him, all our seeking after vain glory will fall away.  We will see how foolish we were to take any importance onto ourselves.  I am looking forward to no longer having to strive against sin.  I am thankful that God uses us despite ourselves-grateful for His mercies which are new every morning.

  1. The song “Great is thy Faithfulness” came to mind as I read that!

Chorus: Great is Thy faithfulness, Great is Thy faithfulness, morning by morning , new mercies I see, all I have needed thy hand hath provided, great is Thy faithfulness, Lord unto me.
